I have Windows XP Home edition and Office XP. I access
email via a POP-3 server. Whenever I close and reopen
the Outlook application, it has changed my POP-3 server
name to "localhost" and moved the POP-3 server name down
as an appendage to the user name. Wierd?

I have installed all Office and XP updates. It happens
for both Office XP and Office 2000.

Any ideas??

This is done by your virusscanner to act as a sort of mailserver to scan
your message before it gets delivered to your mailbox. See you
virusscandocumentation for more info.
