no error messages, if there were any i would have stated them in the prior
messages. os xp home version 2002 sp2

so, lets try again, i thought i was clear on what i was asking but i guess i
was wrong.

in a new contact window, in the phone numbers section, there is only
accomadations for 4 numbers, are we clear so far? how do i get more than 4
numbers to show up in this area? if it cannot be don just say that. i tried
the first answer senerio and the only place i could add numbers was in the
all fields section. the problem i am having is when i sync my I-phone it
will not sync the contacts with more than 4 numbers.

i'm a dumb old carpenter but i do know how to ask a question. if this is
not clear enough now i guess i will just need to figure it out some other
way. I hope someone knows the answer this time.

Can't be done. In any case how many people do you know with more than FOUR
phone numbers? I don't think I know ANY people with four phone numbers.

The question you are really asking is "how to sync more phone number fields
than your I-phone sync software handles?" which is a question that needs to
be posed to the <sync software folks>. Outlook takes no active part and has
absolutely no control of what gets included in the sync process. In short,
if your sync software doesn't let you manage what gets included - nothing
you can do about it via the Outlook <program> which is different from the
Outlook <data files> used by the sync program.

The above applies to all versions of Outlook.
