I just purchased a computer with XP as the O/S. I did
not purchase office xp as the software bundle, cost
issue. Can I load office 98 on XP and not worry about
problems? Thanks.

We use that combination at work for now at least. We have some problems
but those are due to other depts in the domain on Office XP and us not.
A home user shouldn't have any problems with that combination.

Do you mean Office 97? I think Office 98 is for Macs.

Nice catch Manda. I didn't even see that. They either mean Office 97 or
Outlook 98. Wonder which it is.

No. There is no Office 98 that works on any Windows OS. The latest
version is OfficeXP - prior to that, 2000. 97, 95. There was on
Outlook 98, but no Office 98.

Greetings --

How? Office 98 was designed for the MacOS.

There is no product called Office 98 (at least not for Windows;
there is a Macintosh version with that name).

If you mean Office 97, yes it works fine with Windows XP.
