Yes, it does - even if there is a warning...

For simple letter writing, WordPad is sufficient.

Office 97 will work on Vista.

However, if, after installation, Access states it needs a license to
function, delete the file that begins with hautt....ttf.

I'm curious, are you getting a new computer? Cuz if you're running one
that ran Office 97 back when it was new, it's not gonna work with Vista.
Not even close.

Sorry, Scott, I misunderstood your comment.
I can't help - I'm old - I..............now what was I saying?

Yes I could use WordPad but it does not have excell which I know I
forgot to say I use but as I said I do not need all the bloat (To me)
that is in the newer versions of office. I do use Excel to make a
chart as such for cable channels, scanner channels, ETC then laminate
for my use. As I said simple stuff. No auto format stuff, macros, or
things like that. The most complicated stuff I use in excell is the
auto numbering of rows.

As for upgrading I meant upgrading office - not my system - which
would be a new system.

Thanks for the answers all.
