Hi!

i installed Office 97 and Office XP on a W2K System.

All is runing fine, but I've noticed that the Windows installer will
run when
you start Word 2002 after running Word 97 to recreate various Registry
entries.

The Problem is that the installer only runs as administrator. With
user rigths there is only an error message.

If someone could help...

Hi Achim,

Word97 was created before such things as "user profiles" were prevalent
- it doesn't recognize them. Everyone gets the same Normal.dot, shares
the toolbars, etc. That's why it can only run for "Administrator".
You'll have to log on as someone with Administrator permissions. Or get
some kind of "virtual machine" software so that you can run the two
versions separately.
