Just installed the 64bit version on my win 7 install. Used open office at home before now. (though use MS Office 07 stuff at work all day long) So nice to use this now.

Its usable until October 2010 BTW.

I have Office 2007 and was wondering would the new 2010 version delete or wipe over the earlier one ??


Edit: D'oh, scratch that V_R....i just read that it's recommended you uninstall previous version's.

Hi Rush,
I downloaded it last night and when the download finished i got a dlm file could not be extracted message.
I left it alone and clicked finish and it finished.
Any ideas as to what happened, anyone ??

Ya could be right...it eventually gave me a finish button, which i pushed and then the page disappeared.
I decided to leave things alone until i got some advice.
I'll keep searching.

What's Office 2010 like then? Many bugs, much different to 2007?

What are peoples opinions of open office?

I use '07 at work and 2010 at home. Difference is minimal.

This is a beta and as such there seems to be a few bug reports going round. Most with IMAP email and outlook. That said my Gmail accounts and outlook have been fine.
