Jason

I know this doesn't belong in this group, but because I am not a beta tester
for MS Office 2007, I am sure someone may be able to pass on a suggestion if
it is not in the program

Rumor has it that you can create PDF files via this new version of office.
One thing I hope is in the software is a way to import and edit PDFs like
WordPerfect X3 can (but not very well in my opinion). I have seen some
screen shots of the new office and it looks sweet. This is the one feature
I hope is included in the New Office when it is released around Jan 2007.

If a Office 2007 beta tester could see if this is a feature, and if not,
suggest it to be added.

Thanks

I'm a tester of Office 2007, but am not really clear on what the NDA rules
on features are, so I can't answer your question. The purpose of this reply
is so that you don't expect information if it's not appropriate for us to
give.

Thank you Nancy. I would like to clarify my request. I am not looking for
information. I would like a Office beta tester to see if importing and
modifying PDF can be done or not. If not, to submit it as a suggestion
before Office 2007 is released around Jan 2007. I am not asking for anyone
to verify if this is a feature. All I am asking is if it is not, to submit
it as a suggestion. No need to reply stating that it is or isn't due to
NDA.

Thanks again,

Thank you Andre,

If it is possible that someone could suggest to have an import feature added
for PDFs. Currently, WordPerfect 3X offeres an import feature but in my
opinion doesn't do a great job. I know that some users will look at this as
a feature that will make Office 2007 even better and more of a reason to
upgrade.

You can discuss the applications that are allowed, Word 2007, Excel 2007,
Outlook 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Access2007 and Publisher 2007.

Yes, these applications can export to PDF but cannot import or edit existing
PDF files. So you still need your Adobe Acrobat Writer for the time being.

Microsoft Office 2007 is a product of Microsoft Corporation - just remember
to say that.

OK, basically at the moment - NDA is this...

You're not allowed to talk about the server side of Office, nor are you
allowed to talk or even mention the product that has 6 letters and starts
with a G (being careful here myself) as those are still under NDA. Any other
aspect of Office is NOT under NDA so we can talk about it freely :o)

We can post screenshots, we can write articles and hints and tips, we can
even write reviews, but as long as it has nothing to do with the server side
of Office and the product that has 6 letters and starts with a G - you're
safe :o)

I believe this is an option for the actual PDF viewer... which is in fact
Adobe Acrobat (the main one anyway).

Actually, from what I've been reading, the Office 2007 beta is full to
capacity, and there won't likely be any more testers. And, since we seem to
be so close to Beta 2, I don't think any features will be added.

However, it's my understanding that when Beta 2 is released, it will be
released for public preview. If so, you will be able to get the beta and
examine it, but won't be able to file bug reports or suggestions.

If I'm reading you correctly, you want someone in the beta to see if
importing and modifying PDF can be done. And if not, you'd like them to file
a bug report as a suggestion. Not a bad request.

That is what I am requesting. I am not asking if it is or is not in the new
version. Just asking if it isn't, please suggest it. I am not asking for a
reply to tell me if it is or is not in the program :).

Thanks again
