Actually, I don't know.
It is the purview of the OS now, so there are two Vista tools: Vista
Easy
Transfer:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/features/forhome/easytransfer.mspx
And the Vista Upgrade my Settings wizard.
If you can use them with an existing settings files, I don't know. If
you
can use them with just on XP, I don't know...
How you use them with just Office and not the rest of the Windows
settings, I don't know...

Where have you been? Transferring those settings have been in the
purview of
the operating system, not Office for years.
LOL.
Only in the heads of the people working at Microsoft

Indeed! Where I have been is in configuration-free bliss, thanks to
the
Office 2003 "Save My Settings Wizard".
So, Patrick, assuming one has their "Office 2003 Settings File.OPS"
and a
fresh new install of Office 2007, how does one transfer the settings?
If
I
have been lost all this time, please do guide me, my MSFT sherpa.
Sardonically yours,
