Clinton, I have a question for you.
First, I have Vista Ultimate x86, Office 2007 Pro, and MSO Accntg Pro 2007,
AMD 64 +3700 CPU, 2GB mem, good ATI video card w/ 256MB, etc.
My question is this...
-- For starters, I always install clean (especially OS, then office apps,
etc).
-- If I do not try to link BCM / MSOA, both work fine (apart).
-- Have now tried 3-4 times to get BCM / MSOA to cooperate (link).
Reformatted hard drive each time. Just to be sure no hold overs.
-- After each clean install, I try to link BCM and MSOA. I've made sure
databases are on the same drive, usually in the default install location.
Made sure the SQL Express instances are all the same name.
-- When I try to open Outlook immediately afterward the linking attempt, my
BCM / Outlook will dump . It looks like Outlook is loading to the point of
BCM getting going, but then dumps. Everytime. Then gives the message of
something like "Outlook has stopped working..." Then OL shuts down. It will
not open once this behavior starts. I cannot go to a previous restore and
undo. It just does not care. OL will not work once this starts.
Ultimately, I'd like to be able to use the linking. I was able to do so in
the 2003 Office apps and was pretty handy. I'll use BCM and MSOA separately,
unlinked, if need be. But I'd like to make use of this feature. This
feathure is in fact mainly why I switched from Quickbooks to MSOA. It's a
shame to have the ability to link things but they just won't.
It'll probably end up being something funky I'm doing. That's OK. But I'd
sure like some help. Thoughts would be appreciated...
