Office 2007 not working (on Vista)

I've re-installed, I've "Detect and Repair"ed, I've tried opening in "Safe
Mode" and Office 2007 programs still shut down or (Word's favourite) refuses
to open. Every Office program has been working, but now has stopped. Often
Word exits with a notion that it doesn't recognize the document, I'm trying
to open (I should try spelling it right - and I've actually just
double-clicked)

Is there an incompatibility issue that I'm not aware of?

Or just something?

You are lucky. Both Vista and Office 2007 are worthless. Go back to XP and
Office 2000. Performs flawlessly.
