I just installed Office 2007 with BCM and now I have sqlservr.exe in my
processes and it is using 25% of my CPU and over 900,000 KB of memory.

I am running on a Dell xps m1710 with 4GB memory with Core 2 duo @ 2.33GHz

Has anyone else seen this problem? My system and outlook 2007 are very slow
and sluggish. I just did a windows update to patch sqlserver and bcm to
sp1...but that didnt' fix the problem...

Hi Kellydigital,

SQL Server installed from BCM does not consume 25% of CPU. There is
something else on your machine which is causing this. Do you have any other
software which uses SQL Server?

Hi Kellydigital,

How large is your database? I mean, number of contacts, accounts etc...

When the BCM database first shows up in Outlook (as MAPI data store),
Windows Desktop Search will index it. WDS will ask Outlook for all the
data in that store, resulting in a continuous stream of requests to
the database (sqserver.exe). Once WDS has indexed the data (it may
take a couple of days), WDS should settle down, and only index changes
to the bCM database as they occur.
