Why have Microsoft decide to delete the news reader when
Office 2003 is installed. The method provided in Outlook
help is a waste of time as "News does not appear in the
list of commands so it can never be fixed. Sorry ther is
one fix totally delete Office 2003 an re-install office
XP or 97.

Can anyone tell me how to get the news reader to work
with Outlook 2003.

Please do not quote the method provided in Outlooks help
as this does not work.

You'll have to set a default Newsreader first in Control Panel-> Internet
Options. Once you've done that the News button is listed in the commands
overview.

Create a shortcut on your desktop, quick launch bar or in outlook's shortcut
nav pane, or even as a hyperlink on a toolbar button and use the outnews
switch.

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /outnews
