When I print to a pdf printer, the process appears to be successful but the
pdf file can't be found. A shortcut to the file shows up in recent changes,
and when the properties of the shortcut are viewed it points to where the pdf
should have been created by the pdf isn't there. Is this a Vista security
setting per chance?

What pdf printer are you using? Where are you saving the pdf? I have used
BullZip PDF from http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php successfully
in Vista.

I'm using Adobe PDF Converter. It appears that the pdf is created (at least
the shortcut is created) but I'm thinking that [perhaps] Vista is protecting
me from it and deleting it. I'm an administrator on my machine but I'm
getting other Security related messages of "you don't have permission" that I
didn't get before I went to Vista and I'm thinking that maybe this is a
permissions issue. I haven't tried to download Bullzip yet - it wouldn't fix
me if it is a permission issue and I'd like to explore that before chucking
the Adobe version and moving to Bullzip. Thanks for your response

Not being familiar with Adobe's PDF Converter, can you answer my other
question? Where is it trying to save the PDF? Can you change the location
to one that is under your profile directory (C:\Users\<user name>)?

I've tried locations within my documents folder, to the desktop, and other
places that the folder properties show me having full privleges to.
Perplexing.
