Hi all,
We've recently begun a migration from Office 7 to Office 2003. We've got
about 30% of our PCs upgraded (250 - 300 or so). Yesterday evening we
started to get reports of PCs rebooting when attempting to save Word or
Excel docs.
Now it seems that all our Office 2003 PCs are crashing when saving
previously edited docs. When we set the macro security to Medium or
lower we have no problems - the PC opens the doc and asks for permission
to open the document containing the macro and everything is ok. But if
macro security is set to high, the app blue-screens the PC and restarts.
We've been rolling Office 2003 out for a coupla weeks now, but the
problem was first reported yesterday, which makes me suspicious it's a
virus. All PCs are running a scanner with patterns dated 16/8 so it
would have to be something very new - nothing is reported on the virus
lists I've checked.
Anybody else seeing anything similar?
Cheers!
Andy Lawson.
