Office 2003 email tracking

One of our users has encountered an inconsistant problem with Office 2003. Every email sent is set to be tracked - but not every email receives the tracking option. It happens every now and then, with no regular consistancy to be able to pinpoint the problem

Has anyone else experienced this

See if message tracking is not enabled by default;
Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences-> button E-Mail Options-> button Tracking
Options.

Also note that a read receipt requires interaction from the receiving end
and a delivery receipt needs to be supported by the mailserver.
