When updating office 2000 you are prompted to insert disc 1 then disc 2 of
Front Page which I have done. I get an error message saying unable to access
file Data2 MSI on disc 2. There is no named file on disc 2 and installation
of update fails. with message see log file Office 2000 SR-1 Setup (003).txt
(for Assistance contact Microsofr Office Technical Support) How do I fix or
contact technical support? I cant find an email address!

I would assume you should be inserting MS Office Disk 1 then 2 if you're
updating MS Office (rather than Frontpage)....? Since Frontpage is not a
part of MS office.

Thanks for the reply.....I too cannot understand why I am being prompted to insert the front page discs 1 & 2. The update accepts disc 1 which has the file Data1 MSI on it then updates asks for disc two with The file data2 MSI which does not exist. It has got me beat.

Hi, Bruce: You may wish to ask the experts in the Office Update newsgroup.

Has anyone got any further with this? I have the exact same problem in March 2007.
