Environment: Citrix Metaframe XP on Win 2000 Server w/SP4

Office: 2000 w/SP3

Client: XP Pro

Email: Outlook w/POP3, no Exchange

Symptom: since Office SP3 was installed some (but not all) users are finding
that Outlook hangs when scrolling the list of available contacts when
composing a new message.

Enough to go on?

It's about as much to go on as we ever have. This is a frequent problem that
seems to have several possible causes and no consistent solution. Some of
the possible solutions that have been reported:
1. Finding and correcting a corrupt address in the list (e.g., if the
scrolling seems to hang at the same point every time).
2. Removing and re-adding the Outlook Address Book Service
3. Updating video drivers
4. None of the above

Thanks, Russ.

Does it seem to happen with newer version of Outlook?

I've seen it reported with almost every version, although I can't really
recall seeing it posted for Outlook 2003 yet.
