I have installed Outlook 2003 Beta 2 on five pc's for
evaluation purposes.
After successful installation of Outlook, I receive the
following error message:
"The Office Assistant could not be started. Please repair
the Assistant by running Office 2000 setup and
selecting "Repair Office 2000" when I open either MS Word
or MS Excel with the office assistant active.
After running the repair the office assistant is okay.
Any ideas why?
This is an issue for us, as we well be rolling out Outlook
2003 long before Office 2003.
We are running MS Windows 2000 Pro 5.00.2195 SP4 with MS
Office 2000 Standard Edition (local install)on our pc's.
During the Outlook install process I choose the following:
Custom install - unchecked all but Outlook
Remove only the following - unchecked all but MS Outlook
Thanks for any help ...
