Didn't see if office 2000 is compatible with Windows XP.
It wasn't listed on the compatibility catalog on the MS
websitr. Anyone know?

Yes, Office 2000 is indeed compatible with Windows XP. After
you install it, visit the Office Update website and download
all the latest updates.
