Has anyone else come across something like this? Our helpdesk has
noticed that in some instances, an enduser has called down with a
problem where Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open a PDF file, giving
some generic error (I've asked for more specifics), they will offer
remote assistance to the machine to take a look at the issue, but once
they connect, the program works fine, and from then on, after they
disconnect, all is well on that machine. This same phenomenon has
been seen when a user mentions that their MS Access is running very
slowly, connected to a SQL database in our datacenter, once they
connect, there is a noticeable increase in speed.
Any thoughts? Any idea what Remote Assistance/RDP could be doing to
these machines? I am pretty baffled.
