Working within a corporate environment on a domain we have an XP Pro
workstation which refuses to respond to Remote Assistance requests.
The problem:
A support desk agent tries to offer remote assistance to a user through
"Help and Support Centre", Tools, Offer Remote Assistance.
Once the PC number has been entered you're given the following popup:
Remote Assistance -- Web Page Dialog
"Class doesn't support Automation"
We've tried sfc /runnow to repair any broken DLL's, we've tried repairing
WMI and so far no results.
Scoured the internet and there doesn't seem to be any solution to the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
David
