Sorry if inappropriate,
Just wondered why MS releases certain beta apps for download only in North
America?
eg Live Care, SBA
I could understand if they only released English versions, but I thought the
idea behind a beta was to get as much feedback as possible.

I believe that it was due to simple logistics of support for Windows
Live OneCare. Sometimes it would be legal issues.

But there isnt generally support for downloadable beta versions, other than
by ng's / Forums
Anyway, just wondered.
As an aside, having read some Legal Opinions on EULA's it would seem that
many are'nt enforcable, as written, in the UK/EU.
 
OneCare is a subscription app, with specific legalese that goes along with
that. It is also an app with human support, I think even in the beta, in
the native language where it is being offered.

So--as you say, those kinds of issues might preclude the American version
being offered in the UK <G>
