Sorry for posting boo hoo stories here, but I've just been let go.
Have been working for a large construction company for last nine years
creating and managing c# development, Sq Server database (also
developed by myself). Worked in VB6 at first, then vb.net before
converting to c# completely around 2004. The company is failing to win
a single bid for new work, and since they have no new jobs coming
online, developing software to manage such work became a very low
priority (read: NO priority at all).
I'm in the South San Jose, CA area, and have posted to this group a
few times over the last few years. Do any of you have insight into
what the best websites are for posting resume's? Besides Dice of
course. Or of what industry is most likely not suffering attrition as
bad as most others? I have five mouths to feed, I'm more than a bit
worried. I've been intending to get away from anything construction-
related for several years, but now I'm really caught at just the wrong
time.
Thanks, sorry for the off post. Bob Graham
