Of all the things I've lost I miss my memory the most.

How do I reduce memory usage on my computer? The more I compress files and icona the more my memory goes up what can I do? I need to defrag my computer and can't not enough room.
 
You are confusing memory with storage space. The former refers to your
installed RAM and the latter refers to your hard disk.

Do you want your computer to use less of its installed RAM, or do you want
to make more space available on your hard disk?
