I paid extra for the back up CD so I would get XP disk because Tiny say they
dont provide. Unfortunately all this CD will do is recover my unit back to
original state which I obviously dont want to do. I have put on Service Pack
2 but really need the original XP disks in case I have further problems - any
ideas please??

The OEM provides the means to restore your XP operating system. If they
have provided you with recovery disks that restore to factory state, that's
your only choice using their media. You could contact them and ask them
what provisions they are offering for their customers that wish to
implement SP2.

Have you considered an alternative? Perhaps looking into imaging software?
If you have a cd burner, dvd burner, a second partiton or a second drive
(internal or external), this would be a way to capture a good working copy
of your setup. One that you can fall back on if things muck up. You
wouldn't need to reinstall Windows and programs. Instead you would restore
the image.

Personally I use "Image for Windows"
Other programs that do the same thing include Acronis True Image and
Symantec's Ghost.
