OEM Restore XP disks vs Win XP full disks

I have an e-machines pc with XP pre-installed and 3 supplied XP restore
disks.

Could someone please tell me the differences between a full XP disk and the
3 restore disks in terms of functionality and features.

Depends on what the OEM put on the restore disks. With an e-machine, I'm
betting that your only option is to restore back to the original
configuration, with no chance of repairing the OS or doing any of your own
customizing. It's a really nasty way of cutting down on tech support costs,
as they only have to tell you to go back to original and don't have to walk
you though any sort of repairs.
