How do I reinstall an OEM version on a different drive? Currently the OS is installed on a 120GB factory Dell. I added a 60GB drive which is were I want to reinstall the OS, so that I can use the 120GB drive for personal files.

You do not need to have an operating system installed on a
second drive if all you wish to do is store files on it. Just
format that drive NTFS using Disk Management.

If what you have is the Dell OEM disk, you may not be able to. The disk may
be locked to the hardware that was installed by the Mfr.

You could try a normal clean install by booting from the disk, if no joy,
contact Dell. The link below will give instructions for a clean install.

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered
the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of
the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of
boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
