I have an older HP business desktop that came with XP Pro SP1. I had to
re-install XP on the machine a few weeks ago using the "Operating System CD"
that came with the desktop, but I had to contact Microsoft to get a new
Product Key (for some reason the sticker on the desktop didn't work). The
new Product Key was a really long number that I typed in while they gave it
to me over the phone, and of course, I didn't write it down.
Now I need to make this desktop a dual boot machine with Windows 98 and
Windows XP, so I need to reformat the drive, create two volumes, install W98
first, and THEN install Windows XP.
Is there somewhere that I can find that product key so that I can write it
down an enter in when I do the re-install, or will I just have to call
Microsoft again, explain what happened and get a new product key?
