I really want to become an OEM system builder and start my own

getting the word out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Good luck. It's a very tough business. I've been doing it for twenty years.
Start with the fundamentals. Create a business plan. Ask someone you know
who already runs a business to review it. Take some courses on starting your
own business. Look for courses run by a respected local community source.
Talk to your banker whom you'll come to know very well over the next few
years. Tell them what you plan to do and ask them if they have any
recommendations for a basic entrepreneur or business start-up course. Create
a business plan. See if you can get a job with someone who already does
this. Be honest tell them your plans. They may be very upset if you quit
after six months and start competing with them. If they know up front they
may not want to hire you but at least there is no hard feelings. Always
treat your competitors with respect you may need them some day if you get a
contract too big for one person. Create a business plan. Always remember you
may know computers but to be successful you will have to learn even more
than that about running a business. One more thing, create a business plan,
revise it weekly.
