I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but I haven't seen it. How do I
migrate from OE6 to a clean install of Vista Ultimate, Windows Mail? The
transfer utility on the Vista DVD doesn't work. The import process just
stops responding after a few seconds.

I've already tried copying all the dbx files to an external source, but
winmail doesn't want to see/use them.

If you used Outlook Express on the old computer, see

It looks like the link above only pertains to "messages". Am I incorrect
in that assumption? I do want to move all OE info to Windows Mail,
accounts, messages, message rules, etc.

In OE's Tools | Accounts you can export the accounts to IAF files and
Windows Mail can import those.
If you copy the Address Books WAB file to Vista, Windows Contacts can import
from that.

Did you try running the Windows Easy Transfer program from the
Vista computer? That's how I transferred everything (accounts,
settings, emails, rules, etc.).
