Can some one help me, I am trying to import mail from one computer to
another (both on a network - and both running MS XP Pro and OE6). they share
an ADSL connection through a router D-LINK (DSL-504) . The mail settings for
both machine are identical.
The problem is when I select browse to import the file the whole path is not
visible, therefore I can not import the data I require.
I can browse to the following:-
C:\Documents and Settings\Name\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{87435894-4050-4E8B-8CB0-0DA19AE27774}
But I am unable to find the rest of the path that I think would be :-
Microsoft\Outlook Express and followed by Received John.dbx
I did wonder if I have some sort of NETWORK error that is stopping me from
seeing some of the files (hidden files).
I have checked START>SETTINGS and click Control Panel, double-click "Folder
Options" and checked the settings: The "Hide protect operating system" is
unchecked and the "Hide file extensions for known file types" is also
unchecked (on both computers).
I have checked both computers and the whole path is NOT visible on either of
them.
Any advise please.
