Hi,
I hope someone can help. I am having problems with OE 5.5
running under Windows 98 (pre SE). I don't want to depart
from using either of these - I was completely happy until
yesterday and I just want a fix - not an update (300 MHz
PC).
Symptoms: When I open my Inbox all messages are shown as
unopened/unread. New messages load OK, I can open them
and respond to them. Once opened the entry in inbox
correctly shows in regul;ar (not bold) text and I get the
correct opened envelope icon. If I respond to a message
the icon changes appropriateley. If I exit OE and go back
in, these recent messages are lost (not present even in my
deleted folder)
All this happened 2 days ago. All emails prior to this
date are present but show as unopened and unread. If I
open an old message it dissapears when I exit then reopen
OE.
OE help suggests using "add/remove programs" to do just
that - OE is not a program I can select for "Add/Remove".
I can select windows setup - but I then need a disk, which
I don't have
I am a computer dunce (I was great with CPM then DOS, then
I took my eye off the ball) so please keep all suggestions
simple.
TIA,
Mal
