when i used to add a photo to an email as an attachment in OE, it used to
open the photo in the email window before it got sent off. the person at
the other end received the picture already opened (as well as receiving the
photo attachment icon in the subject box).

for some reason it no longer does this. when i just sent off a photo to
someone who only uses hotmail, his hotmail told him it blocks such
attachments.

would you kindly explain how to set up my OE so it opens the photos before
sending and also how to set up my neighbours computer so his hotmail
receives the phots with out rejecting the attachment. many thanks for
any assistance.

Hi Torge,

This is not the Outlook Express newsgroup, but otherwise
In OE, select the Tools>Options menu item and on the Send tab check that you
are using HTML as your default mail format.

When you compose your email use the Insert>Picture menu option.

With Hotmail (live?) there should be similar settings to display mail in
text or HTML format. There may also be limits on the sizes of files that you
can send as attachments, so if possible resize your pics with a tool like
Infranview.

There are also plenty of on-line tools like Myspace.com that you can use to
share photos with friends.

Regards.
