OE to WM: Other problems

NEWS READER:

* When you click a newsgroup, WM automatically selects & downloads the first item in the message list.
As you know I cannot skip the download by hitting the ESC key. If the message is so long then it will be
an annoying problem.

* Expanding message thread is OK, message won't be downloaded. But when I collapsed a thread,
the message has been downloaded. Another annoying thing.
 
There is a Stop button exists but it has no relation with the ESC key and I cannot assign it
There is no keyboard shortcut/menu item either : (

I'm not sure I remember about 5536, but the Stop button stops the message
download here on 5744.
 
Yes the button works as well but there is no keyboard equivalent.

IE and OE cancel the navigate when you hit the ESC for example.

In the binary newsgroups it's a real annoying problem.

Windows Mail is a steaming pile of horseshit that will even drive people
away from Hotmail to GMail or to using Thunderbird. I doubt that the people
responsible for ruining OE even use their own crap software.

Turn off the preview pane then. You can put a button on the toolbar for
that and toggle it on and off.
