I am curious if there is any way to get the spell ck feature to work w/o
installing MS Word or the rest of Office.
I use the CorelSuite eventhough I do have the Office 2k CD, I'd rather not
load both suites. My pref. is WP vs Word.
TIA

There are several freeware spellcheckers for OE available. Do a Google
search and pick one.

OE does *not* come with spell checking capability. It uses the spell
checker in MS Office is it's installed.

I also prefer WordPerfect to Word, but I have both installed here.

If you don't want to install Word, there are several third party spell
checkers that work with OE.

W???n... I did as described. I d/l the file as mentioned in method 2. No
luck. I then copied the file to the OE dir as furter suggested, Still no
luck. Did I miss something? I have no Office CD.

You could try one of these:

Free spellchecker.
which I use on my laptop, which has Works.

And here's a freeware that checks your spelling as you type:
TinySpell

Frank, I was trying not to d/l another spellchecker besides what is in WP.
The article linked to fo W??? looked good since it basically involed just
adding a file or 2.
I did want to add to the last post I found my disc for MS Office 2k. I went
looking for the files mentioned,
but couldn't find the directory on my local C drive to try copying them too.
And before you ask I have turned off
hide hidden files/folders. Did I maybe miss somethng?

If you are trying to get the WordPerfect spell checker to work in
Outlook Express, that's not possible.

Ken, No I am not trying to get the WP Spellchecker to run in OE.
If you glanced at the directions spelled out in W's link it mentioned
copying MS files.
I tried this and it doesn't seem to work. Unless I missed somethng.

I'm sure there are other programs out there. It's just I was trying to do
this w/o
having to get a whole program/application.
Thanks for the feedback...

Frank, After looking around at some options I found your program under
majorgeeks fine.
Thanks to you and the others who offered up suggestions.
