Hey all,
How can an email be sent from OE without my permission? I've opened the
program and saw there were a dozen Sent unread emails, obviously spam,
and I never sent these at all. I use AVG and Trend Microware, and
neither picked up malware. I'll try again with the Microsoft tool, but
it's just confusing me to no end.

Ideas?

Warn me when other applications try to send mail as me
[[Specifies that you want Outlook Express to warn you when another program
tries to send a message to contacts in your Address Book or contacts list
without your approval. Viruses can spread by sending copies of e-mail
messages containing the virus to your contacts.]]

"You" probably did sent them.
Your system has obviously been compromised.

I gathered that, thanks. I just was wondering how to turn off the "send"
if I just want to receive mail. And, Microsoft tool isn't finding
anything either.

Thanks Wesley, I did check that, for some reason it just didn't seem to
help. I'm still running the spytool.. I'll post if it finds anything.

You can control the sending of messages under tools/options in o.e.

This is not spyware,it is worm that is sending things.

Thanks Panda, that's what I figured when nothing showed on MS removal or
Symantic tools. I'll go visit your site today.
