Route 9W

Hi

I have set up a number of rules(lots of them) in OE to accomodate life
in the Swen world. All seem to be functioning fine. However, if I get
a note from someone and I am not the only recipient, the rules I have
set up cannot recognize my address and the message is dealt with
accordingly.

I would also like to process rules for folders other than the Inbox,
but cannot see how this can be done.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the time.

The rules I have set up (on my mailserver, not in OE):
Rule 2: If it contains an attachment with any of the extensions
..exe,.dll,.com,.vbs reject
Rule 3: If the To: header does not contain my address AND the Cc: header
does not contain my address reject
this rejects all email coming in with me in the Bcc. field which is what
Swen (and a lot of spam) uses. But some mailing lists use that also which is
why
Rule 1 Accept mail from (list of mailing lists I use)

With these rules I get no Swens but do get Lottto results, etc. plus some
spam that is addressed to me.
You can set up Rule 3 and Rule 1 in OE. I don't know if you can specify
attachment type although you can block all attachments if you want.

Good luck,
Dave
