Hi - can anyone help please

Just moved off one PC that had win 200 to a new one with X
I've set up profiles etc for family, copied across E-mail message stores etc
OE runs fine on my profile and I've imported my message stores and WAB etc however on my wife's profile we can't even get OE to open as we get an error message that states

"Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to open the Outlook Express message store
Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. Contact Microsoft support for further assistance
(0x8007000E,5)

When you the click OK you get the following message

"Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialised
Outlook Express mayt not be installed correctly

1. I don't understand how it works fine on my profile but not the wife'
2. If it's not installed properly why does OE run on my profil
3. Can I just copy the MSOE.DLL from my Win2000 pc and overwrite on my XP pc - will that cure it
4. How can I repair just the OE application on my wife's profile

If anyone has any ideas can they please let me know
I'm running XP Professional and there's LOADS of free space some 100 GB

I'm stummped!

Hi,

Do not copy msoe.dll from the Win2000 system, it will likely be the wrong
version. Logon to your wifes profile, then reinstall Outlook Express.

Go to the Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab, set it to "Show hidden
files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files
[recommended]". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

Then, open Windows Explorer from Start/All Programs and go to the
C:\Windows\Inf folder. Locate the msoe50.inf file, right-click it and choose
install.

You may need to either insert your WinXP CD or know where your I386 folder
is located on the hard drive. You may also need to know where the
\ServicePackFiles folder is (usually under the Windows directory).

You most likely need to give her account permission to access the OE files
that contain the mailbox and address book.
