I have a similar problem with sending email in OE as
another user on the message board, but I have not been
able to find a solution as yet.
I have not been having any problems receiving mail, but
when I attempt to send my I get the error message:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'mail.worldleaderpretend.com',
Server: 'smtp2.cedant.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Upon contacting our network server (cedant.com), I was
told that there were no problems with the outgoing
smtp2.cedant.com server, as they were using that very
server with their support group and having no problems.
Having just moved offices, I would say that my switching
to a new ISP may have something to do with it in the
initial configuration (still a possibility, I guess)
being different, but I am still receiving mail promptly
without any trouble.
With my ISP seeming to have no trouble delivering mail to
my OE account and upon contacting the server and their
maintaining that things are fine on that end, I am
concluding that it must be a problem in OE itself.
If anyone could offer any suggestions, or even point me
in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robert
