OE 6 & Vanishing E-mail Folders

Greetings All,

I had an interesting event that occured that hopefully
someone can solve for me:

1> Copied ALL OE 6 "Folders" [incl. messages] to another
partition on same harddrive.

2> Formated, then cleanly installed Win98se without
complaint and/or error.

3> DESELECTED the "Read Only" attribute of all
saved "Folders", then cut 'n pasted said folder to working
OE 6 directory.

4> Upon opening OE 6, no messages seen in any folders.
Also, 2 "created folders" from previous install were
missing.

I have used this method with previous versions of OE, but
never 6.0. Where have all the messages went to, since
no "error" message was received during the
aforementioned "cut 'n paste"?

A reinstall of Win98 will give you IE/OE4, Win98SE will give you IE/OE5.
Did you re-upgrade to IE/OE6-SP1 after your reinstalled Win98?

In OE6, you can't copy/paste. You must import the data. References:
