OE 6 Messages open in small window,can't save maximized window set

When I open OE messages they are always in a small window format (about 4" x
4"). I have tried maximizing the window then closing the message by clicking
the X in the upper right-hand corner, however the next message that I open is
once again in the small format. Is there a way to save the default window
size?
