OE 2007 and McAfee Problem?

I have a new Dell XPS 410 with Windows Vista and MS Office 2007. I also use
McAfee Suite which came with the computer. I use Outlook for email. I
understand that there is no capability for news groups in Outlook and that I
have to use Outlook Express. I have tried setting that up but I keep getting
an Authentication Error 480. I have been told that this is because there are
compatibility issues between OE and McAfee (and Norton as well). Can someone
verify this and let me know if there is some work around? The person told me
that I had to uninstall McAfee and find another software for Virus or use
another software other than OE for news groups.

Thanks,
Charlie

Disable the email integration and see if that helps.

If disabling email integration doesn't work, did you buy mcafee or is this
the trial? If the trial, get OneCare.
