Oddly duplicated records in a report, based on information from a

Hi, got one question answered today, which I thought would solve all of my
problems, but unfortunately not.

Basically, I have created a report based on a table, which has links to
other tables, when run the report duplicates certain records and I am not
sure
why. These links have not changed and in past iterations of the report,
there were no duplication issues. The only thing of note that has been
modified is the version of Access from 2000 to 2002.

If anyone has a reasonable explanation for why a report would be duplicating
records from a table I will appreciate hearing it.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by:
... a report based on a table, which has links to
other tables,

Are you saying you have a query that joins tables together, and that your
report is based on that query? I don't understand how you have a table with
"links to other tables"?

I'm also not clear if you and I mean the same thing by "duplicated records".
Some queries can return rows that have many fields in common, with only one
field different per row. This would not, in my definition, be "duplicated".
Are you saying you have multiple copies of identical rows (all fields
duplicated)?

Are the records actually duplicated, or do some records grouped together
have the same information, where just certain colummns repeat? If you're
actually getting duplicate records, in the underlying query, set the Unique
Records property to Yes. You might also want to experiment with the Unique
Values property.
