Greetings:

I am experiencing an odd and vexing problem with the utility Doug
Knox/ xp_secconsole.

My normal way of operating it is that I set the priv. for the user
account to Admin. Then I start the program. Make whatever changes I
want to the settings. Then return the user account to Limited.

But now, when I do the above and start-up the program it gives me a
warning message stating that "THE USER PROFILE DOES NOT GIVE YOU
ACCESS TO THIS PROGRAM" and the entire settings panel greys out.

I am considering completely uninstalling the program and reloading it.
However, the help file states that when you uninstall, whatever
restirctions were in place remain in place. So, I am not sure this
will help anything.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

xp_secconsole v1.4.3

Thank you!

You should contact Doug about this since it is his program and he is
more than willing to respond to questions about it. Look at his site or
in any readme that came with the program for contact information.
