Hi all,
I have an odd problem that I'm sure anyone can re-produce. I support a user
who prints to a network printer and a locally attached Epson DFX 8000 printer
(Using std XP Driver). The network printer is their default printer as its
the one used most often. They Epson is used on an as needed basis by a
specific applications for printing AP checks to multi-part forms. On the
Epson printer, we've configured "AP Checks" as the paper size because this is
all it prints to.
If I open Microsoft Word and select print, change the printer to the Epson
(because it's not the default) it retains the paper size we set the printer
to. If I open notepad (which acts similar to the application that prints AP
Checks) and I select the Epson printer, it defaults to the "normal" paper
type and therefore needs to be changed to "AP Checks".
Why isn't Notepad.exe reading this setting correctly? And better yet, how
can this be fixed?
NOTE: The user has local administrator permissions.
