Odd problem w/ Catalyst driver, plz help.

I have tried many versions of Catalyst drivers and MMC. But only Catalyst
2.1(perfect) and Catalyst 3.9(some minor noise on audio tracks) work for me.
All other versions (2.4, 2.5, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.5) failed the same way. After
the installation, the system didn't have the digital VCR installed so I
can't record. All other function works fine. I have pre-installed Direct X
(8.1b for 2.X, 9b for 3.X) and MS Windows Media Player 9. SBLive 5.1 driver
is the latest 2003 version. If you are using Celeron/Tulatin CPU, AIW
8500DV, Win2000 and an VIA chipset based motherboard, would you please post
your 4-in-1 driver version? I am using 4.43. Is it good with Catalyst 3.9?

You don't say what VIA-based chipset/mobo you're using, but do a google on
VIA latency and/or George Breese.
