Odd freeze - sort of

XP Pro, SP3, IBM T42, 1 gb memory, 1.7 gz cpu, gigs of hard drive space
free.

I've complained to the company about its anti-malware program freezing up
during its deep scan. They asked me to get DebugView and send them a log.
(Gosh, 38mb?)

I just checked for sure about something I thought I saw when doing that.
The debugger freezes during that time too! Any idea what's happening or how
to find out?

Other parts of the program still work. I can bring up the Help file. I can
click on a bad-guy file on the anti-screen and (assuming I'm online) it will
fetch multiple detailed descriptions of it from the internet. Other
programs still work. This is not cool. As an oriental friend of mine once
said during a chemistry room disaster, "HERP!"

Do what you like.
Stand on your head; I couldn't care less.
You are just a Troll.

If you would like us to help you, you will need to identify this
particular anti-malware program.

I asked the question in such a way as to get, if anything, a reply about
possible things in XP happening that would stop a debugger. Y'all want me
to ask a different question - a question of your own choosing. A very
common thing on news groups. People want to answer certain, specific, exact
questions to the exclusion of others. The fact is, I very seriously doubt
anyone here is qualified to hold forth on the guts of my particular anti
program, but I'm working on an answer to that elsewhere anyway so it doesn't
matter.

Asking one question here when people want to answer something else seems to
be out of order. Fine.

Listen, buddy, it is you who is the one who is asking for help. If you
want us to help you, you need to provide pertinent information -- even
if you do not see or understand its pertinence. For all we know, there
is a problem with a specific version of this particular mystery program
which may very well be causing (or contributing toward) the exact
problem(s) you are experiencing. Maybe not, granted. But that is how
people solve problems. The more information we have, the better able we
are to solve a problem. Since you are being irrationally stubborn,
whether you realize it or not, you clearly don't want us to help you.
Fine back at ya.
