Odd folder

Th above named folder showed up on my C drive. It contains SP1 and SP2
Files. Is this a windows update and why is it sitting at the top of the C?
It contains an update program that I have not run. Should it be run, or
would the service pack files have been installed automatically?If the
updates have been installed, can it be deleted? I renamed it temporarily and
nothing is amiss.

This can happen with Windows Updates on some systems. The folder is no
longer used after the updates have been fully installed.
