odbc connection

I have an SQL 2k backend to my Access frontend (.mdb) using ODBC connections
to the database for years. Today I tried to link a new table and on the
pull-down for file types (File>GetExternalData>), I don't see the ODBC
listed! Did I just forget how to do this or did someone change a setting
somewhere? I checked references just to make sure there wasn't something
obvious there, didn't see anything missing.

Some posts in the past suggest that your anti-virus software can cause this and
that settings in the AV software for Office Plug-ins should be turned off.
