Windows 7 ODAC Install error

This is a forum on Windows 7; however I've been struggling for a solution on Win2k8Server R2 for the last 2-days so please help me out:

While installing Oracle 10g ODAC(ODAC10203x64.zip) on Win2008 ServerR2(I'm deploying an ASP.NET application on this server; the Oracle 10g database being on a linux box), the following error occurred and the installation stopped:

Java 2 platform Standard Edition binary has stopped working. Windows can check...

I checked again to confirm that Java latest JRE is actually installed on this server; however, the error persists.

Any solutions ?

My problem was resolved.

Apparantly 10g Client seems to have some issues for .NET--> Oracle connectivity.
Installing the 11g client did the trick for me.
